How do you know when it’s time to replace your racquetball racquet?

I’ve heard there’s some theory floating about that goes like, replace it as many times per year as many times/week you play. For me, that would be twice a year and that seems a little too often, right?

    When the strings come loose.

I’m a pretty avid player, and play pretty competitively about once a week. In the last 4 years, I have had either just one or two racquets. This assumes you don’t bang it against the wall in frustration. My strings break about twice a year… no biggie, $20 bucks a pop or so.

this is how i no if you you put your finger in the little squares on the raquet and push and if the strings move you should get a new raquet or get new strings
