What to look for into a gym membership?

What should I be looking at when deciding which gym would be most beneficial to me? I am planning on going around to all the local ones and looking at price, equipment, features (pool, bball, racquetball, etc…), atmosphere… Is there anything else I should pay close attention to? Thanks for your input.
